Guiding your cake journey with expertise

Let’s Create Something Beautiful Together

Creating a wedding cake is a deeply personal process and I believe each one should be considered, intentional and quietly exceptional. Every cake I make is completely bespoke.  While past creations can inspire, I never copy another artist’s work, and each project is approached as a fresh, unique creation.

I work closely with couples to ensure their cake reflects their personality, style and the joy of their day.  My designs are inspired by art, architecture, fashion, and the wider setting of your wedding and each cake is crafted with balance, proportion, and purpose.  The result is something contemporary yet enduring, calm rather than overstated.  Some cakes feature subtle, muted palettes with delicate finishes, while others make a bold statement in a single striking colour.  Either way, the aim is always the same: a cake that feels completely your own.

With over a decade of experience, I know weddings and cakes inside out.  I liaise with other suppliers when needed, advise on suitable cake stands and guide you through temperature and weather considerations to ensure your cake arrives looking and tasting perfect.  I’m constantly exploring new techniques and refining my recipes so that each creation is as delicious as it is beautiful.

Designing for couples at such a happy time in their lives is incredibly rewarding.  Seeing their vision come to life never fails to excite me. My goal is to make the process smooth, enjoyable and memorable from start to finish, so you can focus on the moments that matter most.

If you’re looking for a wedding cake that’s thoughtfully crafted, unique, and personal, I would love to work with you to bring your vision to life.

Making wedding cakes is a huge responsibility

creating delicious edible art that makes people beam is everything

From messy imperfection to a luxury brand

It’s been a journey of learning, growth and dedication

My cake-making journey began with my son’s first birthday. Armed with a design I’d found online and a sugarpaste smoother borrowed from a friend (which I had no idea how to use), I set out to create his cake.  I baked, whipped, filled, and crumb-coated, but covering it in sugarpaste was a nightmare.  I ended up piecing together sections and smoothing the joins as best I could.  By the end of the day, my back and feet were aching, and the cake looked nothing like the inspiration.

When my husband came home and found me in tears on the kitchen floor, he suggested he could “nip down to the shop and buy a cake.”  That only strengthened my resolve.  Despite its flaws, I proudly served that cake at my son’s party.  From that moment, I made a promise: by the time my son turned 18, I would master the art of cake decorating.

With each birthday, my cakes improved.  By his fourth, friends were asking me to make cakes for their children’s parties.  That growing interest sparked a realisation: cake decorating was my calling.  Leaving behind a draining career at a City legal firm was daunting, but I knew I had found my path – creating luxury, high end wedding cakes was my dream.

Building my business has been a wild ride. Hard work, dedication and a clear vision turned a passion into a career I love and I’m inspired every day by my craft and the couples I work with.

My family is my greatest support and motivation.  I live with my wonderful husband and our two children, who are endlessly patient taste testers and cheerleaders, alongside my amazing clients whose love and appreciation mean the world.

When the cake hits the spot…our faces say it all! We chose pistachio for one layer and classic vanilla for the other. Thank you, Sue, for making us such an elegant but unique cake.
