4 easy steps to your dream wedding cake!
Get in touch & check availability
Complete the enquiry form, or book a discovery call, providing details of your wedding date, venue name and postcode, approximate number of guests and your budget, if known.
All this information enables me to suggest appropriate designs and sizes.
Email any inspirational images/moodboards you may have to sue@suehurstcakedesign.co.uk
Upon receipt, I will check my availability and send a guide price and any alternative suggestions if appropriate.
Review your quote & pay deposit
Review the guide price quote and if you are happy you have two options.
If you’d like to find out more before making your decision and you havaen’t already done so, you can book a complimentary 15 minute non obligatory discovery, to discuss your requirements in more detail and I can answer any questions you may have.
If you know you’d like to proceed, go straight ahead and secure your date with a non-refundable deposit of £150.
Design consultation & tasting
Your wedding cake consultation will take place via Zoom and you will receive your delicious boxes, via post, before this takes place, to enjoy in the comfort of their own home.
Appointments are generally held 10-16 weeks before your wedding date
Final design, creation & wedding
Full details of your final design, complete with a beautiful sketch, will be sent to you after the consultation.
Your final payment is due 8 weeks before your wedding date and from that point on, everything is in hand.
I’ll liaise directly with your venue coordinator or wedding planner to confirm all logistics, and co-ordinate delivery and setup. If you’re using fresh flowers, I’ll also be in touch with your florist to ensure the correct blooms are ready and waiting when I arrive to style your cake.
Styling and display of your wedding cake is just as important to me as the cake itself, so you can sit back and relax, knowing it will be delivered, styled and presented with absolute care so it can be given the full attention it deserves.

What if you don’t know what design you want?
Ordering your wedding cake conjures up all sorts of emotions.
For some couples it will fill them with excitement, while for others, it may fill them with dread and/or anxiety.
All these thoughts are very natural. For most couples, this will be the first time ordering a cake of this size and imporatnce. It’s an investment. Let’s make sure it’s one you look back on for years to come, with happiness.
My 4 easy steps really do show just how easy, stress free and fun ordering your bespoke wedding cake can, and will be.
I’m going to assume the fact you have found your way here, means you love my style, so you are already on the right track! However before accepting your order, we will touch upon your wedding theme/vision in general, just to make sure we are truly a good fit to work together and ensuring that I am the right cake maker for you. The design details can all come later.
important Note:
- I strongly believe that all my clients deserve a cake that is truly unique to them and with this in mind, I will never copy another artist’s design, nor will I wholly repeat any of my own designs they can often provide a good starting point for our design journey.
